Janet L. Cullen

March 28, 1943-April 9, 2025

Janet L. Cullen, 82, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Robert and Belva (Pennel) Doll.

Janet married Herman W. “Mike” Cullen on December 30, 1964, he preceded her in death on November 18, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa A. Cullen on September 16, 2014 and a sister, Carol Doll.

She is survived by her sister, Kay Monahan of Altoona; dear friend, Charles Gibbons of Altoona and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and went on to lovingly take care of her family and her home.

Janet was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the Greenwood Fire Hall.

She enjoyed doing plastic canvas crafts, knitting and cooking for her family.

Friends will be received from 6-8 pm, Friday, April 11, 2025 and 10-11 am, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602; where a funeral service will immediately follow in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Fr. Nelson Javier.

Interment will be held at Carson Valley Cemetery.
