Jeanne M. Traficante

Jeanne M. Traficante, 95, of Altoona, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Francis and Viola (Baronner) Benton. She married Richard D. Traficante, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.

Jeanne is survived by a son, Michael F. Traficante of Altoona; a grandson, Dr. Brandon Traficante and wife, Jennifer of Altoona; a granddaughter, Dr. Megan Traficante and husband, Ronnie Carver of Cocoa, FL; her three great-grandchildren, Beau and Jace Traficante and Harper Carver; and faithful friends Scott and Suzann Glover.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband and her son, Dr. Stephen R. Traficante; two brothers: James L. Benton and Francis J. Benton and a sister, Betty E. Kelley.

Jeanne was a graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as a Library Technician from the Altoona Area Public Library and also from Re/Max Real Estate.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was also a member of Silver Sneakers and the Blair Regional YMCA.

She will be remembered for always wearing matching jewelry and shoes with every outfit. She enjoyed traveling, exercising, volunteering, and reading, but most importantly she loved her family.

At Jeanne’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the

convenience of the family. Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
