Jill L. Walker

April 20, 1954-November 8, 2023

Jill L. Walker, 69, Altoona, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday morning at her residence.

She was born in Brookville, the daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Deily) Songer. Jill married Dennis B. Walker in Winchester, Virginia.

Jill is survived by her loving husband; her daughter, Melissa Goodwin (Thomas) of Altoona; sister, Vicky Free (Blair) of Bellefonte and her beloved grand-dog, Nala.

She was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School in New Bethlehem and went on to graduate from Robert Morris University of Pittsburgh.

Jill retired as the Office Manager for Dr. Carroll Osgood, Allegheny Brain & Spine with 31 years of service.

Jill especially loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing with her church ladies, going to craft shows, working outside, putting puzzles together, shopping with her sister and decorating for the holidays.

Friends will be received from 5-7 pm, Monday, November 13, 2023 and from 10-11 am on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will follow in the Stevens Memorial Chapel at 11 am led by Pastor Dave Butterbaugh. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
