Donna, my thoughts and heartfelt prayers go out to you and your Family during this most difficult time. As you know, John and I were BG Graduates of the Class of 1965. We were able to reconnect later through "The Knights of Equity, and The Daughters of Aaron." What great memories of the fun times, we shared ! John will be truly missed by many ! Sending Hugs and Prayers to you and your Family, Donna. Rest In Peace Dear Classmate 🙂 - Love and Condolences, - Mary Ann Elder

Condolences to all of John's families. I have good memories of John from Cathedral Grade School and Bishop Guilfoyle High School. The quote with his yearbook senior picture, "Freedom hath a thousand charms" is fitting for John. He sacrificed greatly for the freedom of his country and he has charmed thousands of people. He was a great person who will be missed. I've lived away from Altoona for many years and rarely saw John but I have good memories. Rest in peace, John. Tom Kilcoyne, Hummelstown, PA

Sympathy to the family of John. We went to BGHS together, he a year ahead of me. He was a kind, good friend, loved to laugh, and very personable. I honor his service and his personal sacrifice to our country. Rest well, John.
