It is so sad to learn of John's passing. I remember John from Roosevelt Junior High School. He was a basketball player there and all the girls went to watch him play. He was a great friend to my brother and they had shared many adventures. My condolences to Audrey, Angela and Mark. He will be greatly missed.

John was my. close friend in high school. I knew him as a determined athlete and loyal friend. He always seemed wiser than the rest of us, a little bit more grown up and worldly. I lost contact with John and most of my friends in Altoona when I moved to Pittsburgh but I never lost the memories that we created. For instance, one night in the summer we decided to drive to Wildwood, NJ. If I remember correctly, we just jumped in John's car and drove. We were free and freewheeling. On another occasion, we (John, Guido and I) stayed up all night and drove to Cherry Tree to play golf. I will remember John fondly as a kind and generous person who was ready to help a friend at any time. He lives in our memories.
