Obituary For Jonathan R. Hockenos

Jonathan R. Hockenos

April 25, 1984-June 3, 2024

Jonathan R. Hockenos, 40, Altoona, went to be with the Lord, Monday afternoon. He was born in Altoona, the son of Richard J. “Rick” Hockenos and Ellen M. Fiore.

Jonathan is survived by his parents; a brother, Nate Hockenos (Jennifer) of Altoona; half-sister, Ryanna Hockenos; niece, Sydney and nephew, Jack; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Anthony and Helen Fiore and Bob and Lorine Hockenos.

Jonathan was a 2002 graduate of Altoona Area High School and had attended GACTC and Penn State-Altoona.

He spent several years in Denver, Colorado as a roofing salesman before moving back to Pennsylvania.

Jonathan loved his family and found peace in his relationship with Jesus.

Friends will be received from 5-8 pm, Friday, June 7, 2024 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with Fr. Robert Reese, officiating.

The family requests that contributions be made in Jonathan’s memory to: St. Vincent DePaul Food for Families, 2201 Union Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.
