Obituary For Joseph Allen Holzer

Joseph Allen Holzer Oct. 1, 1984-Jan. 20, 2023

Joseph Allen Holzer, 38, Altoona, died tragically Friday evening at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of Joseph K. Holzer and Brenda L. (Beck) Cogan. Joseph is survived by his father of Saxton and mother of Altoona; a son, Brayden Holzer of Altoona; sister, Alexis L. Cogan of Tyrone; his Aunts Mary Lou Lee of Altoona and Sherri Flaux (Lou) of Myrtle Beach; grandmother, Sandy Capparella (Bob) of Hollidaysburg; and his cousin Ashley Malick of Myrtle Beach. Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Karl and Mary Holzer; maternal grandfather: Robert Beck and his two uncles: Greg and Dave. He loved fishing, hanging out with his friends, but he especially loved spending time with his son at the park. There will be no public visitation or services.     So sad, we used to work together at PGW, then we would frequent RJ'S after 2nd shift at least 2 nights a week, I will remember him for his awesome personality and always smiling no matter what was happening in his life. We recently started catching up on life from years back. The good Lord took a real one way too early. Condolences to his family and other friends
