Joyce A. Graham Oct. 25, 1929-Jan. 28, 2022

Joyce A. Graham, 92, Juniata, Altoona, passed away at UPMC Altoona surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Osceola Mills, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith (Baughman) Dixon. Joyce married William J. Graham on July 25, 1948 at the United Brethren Church of Juniata, Pa, he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1978. After the passing of William, she found a special friend and her other half, in James H. Vance, he preceded her in death on April 10, 2009. Joyce was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughters: Denise “Casie” (Howd) Dougal of Juniata, Billie Jo (Dennis) Politi of Juniata, with whom she resided and Jackie Walter of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Sean (Sandy) Dougal, Kristee Thompson, who was not only her granddaughter, but a wonderful caregiver, Rochelle (Robert) Scalice, Brian (Dawn) Thomas, Shane Stillman, Jamie Kivitz and Mary (Antwon) Randolph; 20 great-grandchildren: Tre’ Mort and Gianna Stillman, Travis (Baylee Ruggles), Zachary and Abigayle Scalice, Asha, Elliott and Frankie Thomas, Katelyn and Riley Dougal, Dylyn Thompson (Jon Boore) , Chelsey Thompson (Devin Brown), Tyler and Willa Brubaker, Abel, Jerricho, Messiah, Celeste, Khaleesi and Azell Randolph; and six great-great grandchildren: Landon, Deveron, Baina, Mason, Kohen and Davina. She was preceded in death by her daughters: Dusty Graham, Candace Tate and Jo Graham; great-grandsons: Chauncey Thoman and Kole Brubaker; a brother, Francis Dixon and a sister, Delores Gates. Joyce enjoyed playing bingo, scratchy tickets and watching TV. She loved her family with all her heart and will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022 from 2-6:30 pm, at The Steven’s Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a funeral service will follow at 6:30 pm in the Steven’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ralph Hamer.
