Obituary For Judith H. Green

Judith H. (Stiver) Green Aug. 5, 1941-Jan. 2, 2022

Judith H. (Stiver) Green, 80, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Meryle and Dorothy (Barkley) Stiver. Judith married the love of her life, Jerome E. Green on April 16, 1966 in Hollidaysburg.

Judith is survived by a son, Jerome (Amy) Green; daughters: Lucinda (Neil) Caldwell of Mahaffey, Billie (Tim) Summers and Bobbie Green (Tim Smith) both of Altoona; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Stiver of Williamsburg, PA; three sisters: Pauline Hostler of NC, Sally Garman of Sinnamahoning, PA and Melody Fleck of Duncansville; daughter-in-law, Denise (Hampton) Adams of Duncansville and a nephew (son) Ray Stiver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome E. Green on Nov. 20, 2010; a son, Meryle Thomas Adams whom passed away Dec. 29, 2021; a daughter, Gloria Diveglia whom passed on Sept. 19, 2004; and granddaughters: Lyndsey N. Adams and Presleigh J. Huss.

Judith was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was the owner of Joe’s Hauling and J&J Recycling.

She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and playing computer games. Judith especially loved time with her family and her little babysitter, Shane (Green) Catherman.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, January 10, 2022 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Douglas McGaffin. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
