Julia M. Yost Oct. 23, 1948-Jan. 3, 2023

Julia M. Yost, 74, Altoona, passed away Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Puyallup, Washington, the daughter of the late Robert and Bonnie Jean (Cater) Baydo. Julia married Thomas C. Yost on July 1, 1967. Julia is survived by her husband, Tom of 55 years; her five daughters: Yvonne Hosterman, Denise Stitt (Daniel, Sr.) and Amanda Verbonitz (Joshua) all of Altoona, Barbara McKeever (Robert, II) and Tomi Yost both of Manassas, VA; six grandchildren: Elizabeth, Daniel, Jr., Sydney, Brendan, Hunter and Logan; a brother, Byron Baydo of Tacoma, WA; also Rodney Hosterman and Connor Stocking. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Phillip; and three siblings: Joseph Baydo, Robert Baydo, Jr. and Janice Patchen. Julia was a graduate of Puyallup High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-5 pm on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, Fr. Brian Norris, officiant.
