Juliana Vipond Jan. 24, 1935 - April 23, 2021

Juliana Vipond, 86, of Homewood at Martinsburg, passed away Friday afternoon, following an extended illness. She was born in Viernheim, Germany, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Marie (Klee) Beikert. On May 1, 1952, in Viernheim, Germany, she married David H. Vipond Jr., who preceded her in death on June 18, 2005. Surviving are five children: Henry Vipond (Carol) of DuBois; Alice Grabill (Larry) of Roaring Spring, Deborah Eckert of Cary, N. C., Dr. Michael Vipond, D.C. (Beth) of Hollidaysburg and Julie Vipond of Wilmington, N. C.; a sister, Lena Winkler in Florida; a brother, Karl Beikert of Viernheim, Germany; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Juliana was a member of the Altoona Bible Church and was an avid gardener. Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Altoona Bible Church where a celebration of Juliana's life will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Stewart W. McClelland officiating. The family requests that donations be made to: The Altoona Bible Church, 3017 Union Avenue, Altoona PA 16602, in memory of Juliana.
