Kathryn H. “Helen” Hetrick

May 21, 1939-November 17, 2023

Kathryn H. “Helen” Hetrick, 84, Altoona, passed away Friday at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Earl R. Hunter and Alma (Heim) Galui. Helen married Charles “Donald” Hetrick in November of 1960.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years; her three children: Ricky Hetrick and Robin Kessler (John) both of Altoona and Charles Hetrick (Susan Bender) of Everett; four grandchildren: Brad Kessler (Brandy), Chantel DeGennaro, Dustin Rapp (Marisa) and Brittany Hetrick; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brother, Barry Galui and her sister-in-law, Betty Boslet.

Helen was a graduate of Altoona High School. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to the casinos. Helen took great pride in taking care of her home and her family.

There will be no visitation or services.

Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
