Kathy L. (Stoner) McKinney

April 19, 1958-November 1, 2023

Kathy L. (Stoner) McKinney, 65, Altoona, peacefully passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Robert Stoner and Carol (McCall) Newberry. Kathy married Lew A. “Pete” McKinney, Jr. on July 25, 1987.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband and three sons: Christopher M. Sanders (Autumn) of East Freedom, Anthony M. McKinney (Jannell) and Adam M. McKinney both of Altoona; four grandchildren: Lane Kephart, Colton Sanders, Evan Sanders and Conor McKinney; five siblings: Kevin Stoner, William Newberry (Susan), Deborah Dickson (Dave), Vicki Lynn and Becky Seasoltz (Bob) all of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Sheila K. McKinney-Mort and numerous nieces, nephews, an uncle, Drexel McCall; several aunts and a multitude of cousins.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Cory Lynn and a granddaughter, Berkley Jo McKinney; and a special uncle, Alvin L. McCall, III.

Kathy was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Encompass Health as a Rehab Nursing Technician.

She was a member at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends, but most of all, her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Friday, November 3, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am the following day, Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Drew McCaffery. Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
