Kaylee Jo Vaughn
July 5, 2010-August 20, 2026
Kaylee Jo Vaughn, 16, of Altoona, passed away Thursday. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Thomas Vaughn and Gretchen Ross.
She is survived by her parents; three brothers: Tommy Vaughn (Taylor Binaut), Arlen Vaughn and Tyler Smith; her sister, Taylor Vaughn (Gage Robley); Michelle Graham; nieces: Ellie, Kendall and Freya; grandparents: Bob and Betty Ross, Dorinda Boyle and Kitty Cogan.
Kaylee was preceded in death by her brother, Jared Ross.
She was a 10th grade student at Altoona Area High School and loved hanging out with her friends, listening to music, Spiderman, gaming and coloring her hair. Kaylee was a kind soul.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a future date.

I was in Huntington Creek with her in her first 2 weeks there, she was my roommate. she was such a light and such a beautiful soul. I was devastated when I heard about what happened, and I'm constantly praying for your family. I hope you know just how big of a light she was and I'm so sorry for your loss.

It was an absolute blessing being Kaylee's ELA teacher when she was in 7th grade. I loved her beautiful smile. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to Arlen (whom I was also blessed to teach) and all of Kaylee's family. Maggie Lewis
