Kevin J. Ginnick

Sept. 26, 1957 – May 8, 2023

Kevin, J. Ginnick, 65, of Altoona, passed away Monday at his residence following complications of cancer.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Gilson C. “Gil” and Marjorie G. (Hollern) Ginnick.

He is survived by a son, Wesley G. Ginnick (Curtis Tracy) of Altoona; a brother, Jeffrey J. Ginnick of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Colleen A. Ginnick Calvert (Dave) of Duncansville; two nieces, Heather Slencak (Brian) and Erica Calvert (Laura Boyanowski); great-niece and nephews: Damon, Savannah, Cayden, and Quinn; and many cousins.

Kevin was a 1975 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He had been working as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years, with 25 years of service at L.S. Fiore Inc.

Kevin loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He also loved hunting, working, social visits, and traveling throughout the county to meet his many friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.

A funeral service will follow at 4 pm at the Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
