Kristie L. Porta

March 15, 1956-September 27, 2025

Kristie L. Porta, 69, of Altoona, passed away Saturday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late John O. and LaDonna (Davis) Young, Sr.

She married Raymond A. Porta, III on July 21, 1974.

Kristie is survived by her husband, Ray; two daughters: Crystal Selden (Herb) and Melissa Huss (Terry); four grandchildren: Amanda, Orin, Nicholas and Tyler and seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Autumn Temple (Don), their children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Payton J. Selden and her siblings: Kathie Bartley, LaDonna Lauver and John O. Young, Jr.

Kristie was a 1974 graduate of Altoona High School.

She retired from UPMC Altoona from the dietary department.

Kristie enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4-6 pm, Monday, October 6, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., where a funeral service will immediately follow at 6 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Neatrour.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
