Larry A. Beckwith June 25, 1945-Jan. 2, 2022

Larry A. Beckwith, 76, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona following a battle with Lymphoma. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Earl and Freda (Kyper) Beckwith. Larry married Leslie A. Moore on June 8, 1985 in Altoona. Larry is survived by his loving wife; a son, Thomas Beckwith of Altoona; his daughters Alyssa Beckwith of Punxsutawney and Angela Beckwith of Altoona; and a brother, Sheldon Beckwith of Bedford, TX. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Martha Beckwith, Beverly Hetrick and Barbara Ann Herman; and a son, Paul Beckwith. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #354 after many years of service. Larry was a talented car builder, who has built or had a hand in building many of the hot rods and dragsters in the local area. Friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602 and on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 from 9-10:45 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, led by Pastor Bill Ice.
