He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Merle D. and Janet (Donley) Stitt. Larry married Kathy M. Moore in 1972 at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont.

Surviving Larry is his loving wife, Kathy, of nearly 54 years; a son, Bryan D. Stitt (Andrea) of Quinton, VA; two daughters: Lisa M. Stitt and Erin M. Cathy, our deepest sympathy to you and your Family for your loss. Larry was a good guy. My fondest memories are from grade school were when he would take us in his Nova to the Mosque for the AAHS basketball games.... Helped me understand and love the game the rest of my life. Big influence ! He was a good man. I'll never forget those times. Thank you both. - Brian S.
