Obituary For Linda Josephine Knott

Linda Josephine Knott Nov. 8, 1943-March 1, 2021

Linda Josephine Knott, 77, of Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Presbyterian of Pittsburgh following an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cristlemeier) Leberfinger. Linda married Donald E. Knott on March 31, 1973, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1997. Linda is survived by her son, Joseph (Ashley) Knott of Altoona; two sisters, Patricia Moyer and Theresa Diehl-Beard, both of Duncansville; and her beloved dog, Missy. She was a graduate of Altoona High School and went on to work for Butterick for 37 years until its closure. Linda then worked for Preferred Healthcare Systems for several years until her retirement. Linda was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602 where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Lubomir Strecok. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648.     Joey and Family, there's no doubt in my mind your mother was an amazing, loving, caring and good hearted christian woman. I remembered when we were little growing up and playing your mother was always right there for us, good or bad times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Joey.
