Obituary For Louis "Louie" J. Page

Louis J. “Louie” Page

February 25, 1955-April 8, 2026

Louis J. “Louie” Page, 71, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Josephine (Minielli) Page.

He is survived by a son, Justin Page of Florida and a daughter, Julie Sharbaugh (Troy) of Hollidaysburg; two granddaughters, Paige and Emmie Sharbaugh; and brother, Mark Page (Angel) of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Joey and Jerry Page.

Louie was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from Conrail.

Louie was an avid sports fan, especially of Penn State, and was rarely seen without a hat from one of his many favorite teams. He was known for his funny catch phrases, loved to laugh and joke around, and never passed up an opportunity to make a sports prediction or try his luck playing the lottery.

He was a good-hearted person who appreciated the simple things in life, such as taking care of his property and watering his flowers. Above all, nothing was more important to him than his family. No conversation ever ended without an “I love you.”

Over the past year, his toughness was inspirational, and it will never be forgotten-he will be dearly missed.

Friends will be received from 2-4 pm, Monday, April 13, 2026 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will follow at 4 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with Msgr. Stanley Carson.

Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

Condolences may be made at www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com or Stevens Family Funeral Homes Facebook.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Louie. He was such a close and special friend to my cousin Joe Pauline's and so I would see Louie all the time when Joe was alive. Louie was always a kind and gentle soul and a true best friend and great companion to my cousin. I am so sorry that I am away in Florida and will not be able to come to his service. But I will be thinking about him and the family with sympathy. Billie Moschella Coffman
