Lynne E. Sullivan, 71, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona following a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Glenn and Marian (Ritchey) Merrill. Lynne married Dr. Robert D. Sullivan on March 5, 1983 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Surviving Lynne is her loving husband of 43 years and their children: Tracy Sullivan (Jonathan Sedlock) of Hummelstown, Danny Sullivan (Melody) of Hershey and Lindsay Trimble (Joseph) of Leesburg, VA; seven grandchildren: Bennett, Anna, Lydia, Sullivan, Violet, Judah and Laney; also her brother, Glenn Merrill of Gibsonburg, OH.
Lynne was a graduate of Bucks County Grandview Nursing Program. She was a retired registered nurse, having worked for years with her husband and had previously worked at Mercy Hospital and for the VA Hospital of Cincinnati.
Lynne was a faithful, spirit-filled member of Altoona Alliance Church. Her love for the Lord and her heart for prayer were evident to everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. Throughout her life, Lynne’s strength and resilience shone brightly as she leaned on the Lord and trusted Him to carry her through each day.
She treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished her beloved husband, Bob, the love of her life. Her faith, love, and strength will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 10 am-noon, Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim McGarvey.
