Margaret Catherine “Sis” (Stiver) Lees Dec. 31, 1938-April 18, 2021

Margaret Catherine “Sis” Lees, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Meryle and Dorothy (Barkley) Stiver. Sis married Lawrence E. Lees, Sr. on Sept. 4, 1956 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1989. Sis is survived by her five children: Larry (Mary) Lees, Cindy (Raymond) Dempsey, Phyllis (Frank) Rabuck, Penny (Don) Moyer and Adam Lees; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; a brother, Thomas Stiver and her five sisters: Judith Green, Pauline Hostler, Sally Garman, Sylvia Schmerbeck and Melody Fleck. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Mike, Ray “Chip”, and Meryle “Scoot”; two sisters: Linda and Susie Stiver and a granddaughter Pamela Lees. Sis was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved flowers and coloring, and has always been a caregiver to her family and was a foster-parent to several children. Sis loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. At Sis’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
