Obituary For Maria L. Lundberg

Maria L. Lundberg May 30, 1938-Jan. 31, 2023

Maria L. Lundberg, 84, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at her residence. She was born in Vucevci, Yugoslavia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Vukmanovich) Leschinger. Maria married Marvin L. Lundberg on April 10, 1969 in Winchester, VA, he preceded her in death on April 18, 2005. Maria is survived by her son, Mark L. Lundberg (Susan) of Altoona; two grandchildren: Mara and Mason Lundberg; her brother, Matthew Leschinger of Wheaton, Ill.; also surviving is her dear friend, Arlene Weller. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Leschinger and sister, Katharina Maierhofer. Maria was a 1956 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and also a graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Radiology. She retired as Director of Radiology at Altoona Hospital with over 30 years of service. Maria was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family. There will be no public visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1405 5th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, by Fr. Lubomir Strecok, celebrant. Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.
