Obituary For Marie L. Kelly

Marie L. Kelly May 10, 1924-Oct. 21, 2021

Marie L. Kelly, 97, of Altoona, passed away Thursday, the 21st of October at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital of Harrisburg. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Enrico and Carrie (Mascio) Treni. Marie married Robert P. Kelly on Sept. 6, 1948 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1981. Marie is survived by a son, Gregory D. Kelly of Fallen Timber, Pa. and a daughter, Kimberly Kelly Perez and husband Richard of Etters, Pa.; four grandchildren: Matthew Kelly of Fallen Timber, Pa., Wayne Kelly of Cape Coral, FL, Rachael Perez of Lemoyne, Pa., Carly Perez of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three great-grandchildren and her brother, Henry Treni of Venice, FL. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey P. Kelly on Oct. 24, 2005. Marie was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Marie enjoyed knitting but truly loved seeing and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.     Aunt Marie was very special to all the Kelly Kids. She was always warm and welcoming when we would visit. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. She will be missed. Much love to her family during this difficult time. Barbara Kelly Cioffari
