Obituary For Mary Ann Dietrick

Mary Ann Dietrick

August 3, 1932-May 11, 2023

Mary Ann Dietrick, 90, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Homestead, the daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (O’Hare) King. Mary Ann married Dr. Ronald A. Dietrick, MD on Sept. 27, 1958. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2012.

She is survived by her children: Mark Dietrick (Claire) and Thomas Dietrick (Donna) all of Pittsburgh, Jeffrey Dietrick (Monica) of Altoona, Amy Brisbin (Larry) of Tyrone and Beth Vila of Clermont, FL; ten grandchildren; and brother, James King of Jacksonville, FL.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by two sisters: Eileen Deinert and Jean Conti and a brother, William King.

She was a graduate of Homestead High School and went on to become a medical secretary, graduating from BTC (Business Training College) of Pittsburgh.

Mary Ann was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Women’s Club of Altoona and Birthright.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles and she especially loved spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 511 20th St., Altoona, Pa. 16602, Fr. Lubomir Strecok, celebrant. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
