Mary L. “Dolly” Rajnish

February 13, 1932-August 28, 2025

Mary L. “Dolly” Rajnish, 93, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Barnesboro, the daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Weakland) Yonkoske.

Mary married Robert R. Rajnish on September 2, 1954 in Cresson, he preceded her in death on February 14, 2019.

Dolly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Naomi Rajnish of Altoona; six grandchildren: David M. Rajnish, Christina Casalini (Stephen), Mandy Freel (John), Shelly Rajnish, Carly Bowden (Jamie), Matt Rajnish and a step-granddaughter, Alicia Haggard (Todd); seven great-grandchildren and her dog, Angel.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Rajnish.

Dolly was a graduate of Barnesboro High School.

She was the co-owner of Penn Way Motel and Restaurant in Cresson along with her husband from 1954-1974.

Dolly was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont.

She enjoyed cooking and going out to eat, listening to Frank Sinatra, playing cards, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and loved animals.

Friends will be received from 10-noon on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will be held at noon in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Msgr. Michael Becker.

Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
