Patricia A. McGinnis May 2, 1939 – Sept. 28, 2020

Patricia A. McGinnis, 81, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. Patricia was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Clarabelle (Mangus) Yon. On Nov. 12, 1955, she married Raynor G. McGinnis who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2005. Surviving are a son, Richard McGinnis (Linda) of Altoona; a daughter, Bethann Hazlett (Patrick) of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Melissa Carney, Jason McGinnis, Christopher Sweeney, Sean Sweeney, Emilee Hazlett, Dominick Hazlett and Katie Hazlett and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Sweeney and several brothers and sisters. Patricia retired from Greenwood Pools and Spas after 38 years of service. Patricia was a member of Trans4mation Church and enjoyed baseball and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Trans4mation Church, 1001 S. First Street, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jim Balzano officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
