Patricia A. Rickabaugh

May 6, 1935-October 4, 2024

Patricia A. Rickabaugh, 89, Altoona, passed away Friday morning at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late George T. and Anna (Hardman) Shelow.

Surviving Patricia are her four children: Debra Thurheimer (Jeffrey) of Altoona, James E. Rickabaugh, Jr. (MaryAnn) of Winchester, VA, Patrick A. Rickabaugh of Altoona and Colleen Teverini (James) of Frederick, MD; six grandchildren; her siblings: Robert Shelow of Florida, Herbert Shelow of Bellwood, Gerald Shelow and Cathy Gould both of Altoona.

Patricia was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Fresh; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Rickabaugh and a brother, William Shelow.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School. Patricia continued her education at the Altoona School of Commerce and Penn State University. She retired from Garvey Manor Nursing Home as the receptionist.

Patricia was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where she enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister.

She was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.
