Patricia M. Hatch

Patricia M. Hatch, 84, Altoona, formerly of Falls Church, VA, passed away Monday at Penn Highlands Healthcare, Tyrone.

Patricia was born in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Edward and Eileen (Jackson) Sheridan. On September 8, 1962, she married James J. Hatch, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 15, 2008.

She is survived by three sons: James J. Hatch, Jr., Austin E. Hatch (Elizabeth) of Arlington, VA, and Patrick J. Hatch (Leslie) of Raleigh, NC; five daughters: Eileen P. Lindner (John) Morrison, CO, Maureen A. Levri (Edward) of Altoona, Colleen M. Lagasse (John) of Great Falls, VA, Kathleen D. Wilkins (Kevin) of Wilmington, DE, and Jeanne M. Moore (John) of Elkton, MD; thirty grandchildren; one expected great-grandchild; a brother, Hon. Paul F. Sheridan (Jeanette) of Arlington, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by a sister, Ann MacMahon and a brother, Edward J. Sheridan, Jr.

She was a graduate of Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School and was self-employed in childcare.

Patricia was a faithful member of St. Therese Of the Child Jesus Catholic Church where she was active on many committees.

Patricia enjoyed spending time at the Blair County Senior Center, doing Zumba and reading. She was a lifelong, avid fan of the Washington Professional Football Team and most especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Therese Of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 411 Wopsononock Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 by Fr. Brian Norris, Celebrant. Committal will be held at National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Blair County Citizens Concerned for Human Life, 2715 Third Street, Altoona, PA 16601 in Patricia’s memory.
