The moment Bill introduced mum and I to Pappy (Paul) we were immediately family. Mum was an immediate daughter and she will never forget his kindness. We were welcomed as a Karl and into his home without question. I'll never forget him flying to Oklahoma for my high school graduation. And I'll never forget how he always sent a birthday and Christmas card. As my family grew, and I had children of my own, he never missed theirs either. He will be so very missed, but mum and I take some comfort in the fact he is reunited with Bill and Carol.

I remember spending time with him in his wood shop while he worked on his latest project, and making homemade ice cream during the summers and pizelles during the holidays.
