Phyllis J. Rhodes

March 13, 1947-April 5, 2025

Phyllis J. Rhodes, 78, of Altoona, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Virginia E. (Shope) Parson.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons: Patrick P. Garman (Sally) and Bryon D. Garman both of Altoona; three grandchildren: Christine Dively (Charles), Shawn Garman (Megan) and Kelsea Garman (Allen); seven great-grandchildren with #8 on the way; two brothers: Robert (Linda) and Ronald Parson and two nephews.

She graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle High School and retired from Quality Control with the Commercial Envelope Factory following many years of service.

Phyllis enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafting. She especially enjoyed quality time with family.

Per her request, there will be no visitation or services. A private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
