Raymond R. Gvozd May 1, 1934-June 30, 2022

Raymond R. Gvozd, 88, Windber, passed away Thursday at Windber Woods. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Roman and Catherine (Banko) Gvozd. Surviving are his niece, Mary Ann Gvozd and two grandchildren: Raychell Simington and Jeffery Davis. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond R. Gvozd, Jr. and brothers, Francis and John. Raymond served for the US Army and retired as foreman from Hallers Bakery. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona, Fr. Lubomir Strecok, celebrant. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
