Obituary For Renee M. Rimbeck

Renee M. Rimbeck, 52, Altoona, passed away Friday morning at her father’s residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an eight-year battle with liver cancer. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Matthew Rimbeck and Dorothy (Masterson) Rimbeck. She is survived by her father, Matthew Rimbeck (Judy Norris) of Tyrone; her mother, Dorothy Rimbeck of Altoona; a sister, Nicole Morgan (Jason) of Altoona; and her current companion, Charlie Webb of Hesston. She was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Don “Tood” Smith. Renee was a 1988 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and graduated from West Virginia University in 1992. She had been a social worker for the last 30 years at various local agencies. Renee was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed music, going to concerts and listening to local live bands. Mostly, she loved helping and working with children through her vocation. Friends will be received from 4- 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, PA 16601. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Fr. Michael Pleva. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
