Robert C. Streightiff Aug. 1, 1924 – Oct. 3, 2020

Robert C. Streightiff, 96, Altoona, passed away Saturday at his residence. Robert was born in Altoona, and married Shirley Ann Dunn, who preceded him in death on November 4, 1996. Surviving are two sons, Scott (Karen) of NC and Kevin (Donna) Streightiff of Hawk Run; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Noonan of Florida and Doris Smith of Altoona; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a graduate of Altoona High School and of Penn State University. He was a United States Marine Veteran of WWII. Robert retired as a Civil Engineer with the Department of Environmental Resources after many years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata. Robert was a member of Juniata VFW Fort Apache. He was an artist who enjoyed drawing, he enjoyed photography, music, fishing and model railroading. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2020 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Avenue, Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020 at The Stevens Memorial Chapel, Pastor Eli Hess officiating. Covid-19 protocol will be followed.
