Robert J. “Jim” Edgar

Robert J. “Jim” Edgar, 71, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center.

He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Robert M. and Barbara A. (Reiter) Edgar.

Jim is survived by his son, Samuel Edgar and two grandchildren; three siblings: Robert Alan Edgar of Altoona, Curtis Edgar of Tyrone and Karan LoPrimo of Fort Pierce, Florida also, his life-partner of 10 years, Anita McClellan.

He was preceded in death by his son, LJ Edgar and a sister, Deborah Hicks.

Jim was a 1973 graduate of Altoona High School.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Jim previously was a detailer at Blue Knob Auto.

He was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, an avid animal lover and loved spending time with his friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
