Robert J. “Rob” Brubaker Jan. 31, 1978-Nov. 28, 2021

Robert J. “Rob” Brubaker, 43, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Sunday the 28th of November at his home. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late John Brubaker and Jill (Ferry) Arthurs. Robert is survived by his children: Paige of Lancaster, Tyler and Willa at home, Dylyn (Jon) and Chelsey Thompson of Altoona; fiancé, Kristee Thompson; brothers: Kevin Sean Brubaker of Walnutport and Jason Brubaker (Julie) of Altoona and stepfather, James Arthurs; step-sister, Tammy Thompson of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandsons: Landon and Deveron Boore, Mason and Kohen Thompson; two granddaughters: Baina Boore and Davina Thompson; three nieces: Karly (Brandon) Cain of Altoona, Leah and Aubrey of Port St. Lucie, FL; nephew, Kevin Brubaker as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friend Jared Burns. Rob’s most recent profession was as a cook, formerly with Texas Hotdog-Intown and was previously employed by Boyer Candy. He was a supporter of the military and its service members and admired all family and friends that served our beautiful country. Rob held family and friends very dear to his heart. If you were close to Rob, I’m sure you’ve heard him say, “I Love You, I’m proud of you or Go Lick your Daddy’s Farza.” Hold dear to his fun statements and those memories. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, as well as Penn State football and the Altoona Curve. Rob also enjoyed playing fantasy football, spending weekends with his family cooking out, playing cornhole and loved seeing and spending time with his kids. A celebration of Rob will be held Sat. Dec. 11, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. at the Concordia Society, 820 2nd Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. The loss of Rob was unexpected and far too soon. Rob had much life left to live and give and he will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with the expenses at this time via direct donations or via GoFundMe account under Robert Brubaker Family. Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. Condolences may be made at www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com or Stevens Family Funeral Homes Facebook.
