Obituary For Ronald E. Peschock

Ronald E. Peschock July 10, 1945 – May 14, 2021

Ronald E. Peschock, 75, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. Ron was born in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Mary (Sokolovich) Peschock. On July 1, 1967, he married Betty C. Ream who survives. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Holly M. Stiffler of Duncansville; a son Ronald E. Peschock II (Autumn) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Kahley, Matthew, Cassidy, Isaac and Landon; a brother, Richard Peschock of North Huntingdon; and a cousin, Robert Gaylog (Lee) of Mahopac, NY. He was a graduate of Westmont High School and the Pittsburgh Institute of Technology and was a US Navy Veteran of Vietnam. Ron worked for IBM for 28 years and retired from Intermediate Unit 8. He was member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, where he was active in Cursillo. Ron most especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Avenue, Altoona, PA where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Msgr. Michael Becker officiating. Committal will be at Alto Reste Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ron’s memory to: UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Development, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.     Betty and family we are so very sorry to hear of Ron's passing . He was a great man and a great friend and he was my buddy as I would call him when we would see you both. He will be deeply missed by mom and I and everyone that had the privilege to know this great man . Our thoughts and prayers are with you Betty and all your family Becky and Mary Moran
