Rose Marie Nail February 4, 1924-August 30, 2021

Rose Marie Nail, 97, Altoona, passed away Monday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in San Marco in Lamis, Foggia, Italy, daughter of the late Carlo and Rosa (Nardella) Risoldi. On May 17, 1945, she married Donald G. Nail and he preceded her in death in 1973. Rose Marie is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Ronald) Settlemeyer of Altoona; and two sisters: Caroline Manion of Altoona and Mary Ann Cole of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a dear friend, Patricia Edwards. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Nail; sisters: Lena Colyer and Jean Franco; and a brother, Gennero “Jerry” Risoldi. Rose retired from the Sheraton Hotel, where she worked in housekeeping. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and she enjoyed watching baseball, especially the New York Yankees. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021 at the Stevens Memorial Chapel, by the Franciscan Friars. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
