Ruth J. “June” Socey, 100, a long-time resident of the Presbyterian Village in Hollidaysburg, died Thursday at the village. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Mort) Rabold. She was married twice, first to Paul Fallman and then to John F. Socey and was preceded in death by both.

Surviving are a grandson, Michael Fisher; her sister, Carolyn “Toots” Kennedy of Hollidaysburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Fisher; three brothers: Peter, Charlie, and Bud Rabold; and four sisters: Dorothy Atkins, Dorrie Nelson, Betty Nagle and Ann Lasher.

Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hollidaysburg. She was also a member of the Lakemont Lions Club and Lakemont Senior Citizens.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Stevens Memorial Chapel of The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, by Reverend Paul Bottenfield. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
