Scott J. Wallack

February 9, 1961-March 24, 2025

Scott J. Wallack, 64, Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of Violet (Weaver) Wallack and the late Duane Wallack.

He is survived by his mother, Violet and three daughters: Amber Valeri (Matthew) of Reading, Danielle Wallack (Dave) of Denver, CO and Andrea Burk (Nick) of Portage; three granddaughters: Sophia, Olivia and Mila; two sisters: Jodi Edwards (Rick) of Bel Aire, MD and Sherri Harpster of Duncansville; and several nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Wallack.

He was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School and had retired from the Blair County Prison with over 20 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his daughters and granddaughters.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

    Scott was my classmate all the way from the gifted program at Fairview, through Keith and Altoona High. He could put a smile on your face at any time with his jokes and clever wordplay. A great guy, you will be missed my friend, condolences to his wonderful family as well. Steven Fogel MD
