Obituary For Scott S. Steele

Scott S. Steele

October 18, 1964-November 23. 2024

Scott S. Steele, 60, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Maple Heights Health and Rehab Center, Ebensburg. He was born in Altoona, the son of John Steele and the late Lynda (Varner) Steele.

He is survived by his father, John and step-mother, Linda of Altoona; a daughter, Sarah Steele (Shub) of Wrightsville; one granddaughter, Ophelia; and sister, Raylene Vahey (Jeff) of Altoona; his nieces: Breanna Goodman (Randy), Mackenzie, Savanna, Emily; great-niece, Elena Goodman and sister-in-law, Ann Steele.

Scott was preceded in death by his brothers: John, Jr. and William Steele.

He was a graduate of Altoona High School and attended Penn State University. Scott previously worked for Mr. Donut.

Scott enjoyed 80’s music, going to concerts, cooking and baking, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and building model rockets.

Friends will be received from 10-11 am on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom Kurtz.

Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery.

    I worked with Scott the past few months at Maple Heights. He was one of my favorites. Scott was always appreciative and made sure to tell us thank you for everything we did for him. He was a kind soul, and we will miss him.

    Going to miss you scott i rember pizza nights at your house and the time we ran water hose from my house to your house to fill the swimming pool. Hanging out in the club house. Bowling on satyrdays. And who can forget your grand terrino. You loved that car .rest in peace scott you will always be a brother to me.say hi to mike and my mom when you get to heaven.
