What a work ethic Shirley identified with during her time at Graystone. She was a true whirlwind of activity, kindness, and medical care with our elderly community. She was there when people fell, needed a seat at the ball park or a ride home after surgery at UPMC. She had her connections and gave her all to get help for people in need. Shirley was there for everyone.

While Mrs. Hippo was one of my favorite nursing instructors, the testimony of her teaching came to light when she became a patient of mine several years later. I told her it was a good thing she was an excellent teacher because you never know when you need a good nurse! We had a good laugh. I loved Ms. Shirley. I am sorry for your loss! May God bless y'all and keep you safe. Carolyn Leamer
