Obituary For Sylvia J. Gentner

Sylvia J. Gentner, 67, Altoona, formerly of Wellsboro, passed away Sunday morning at her residence, following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Blossburg.

She is survived by her mother and father of Wellsboro; three children; four sisters; one brother; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Sylvia had been the office manager at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. for the past four years and had previously worked for A.I.G. She was of the Baptist faith.

There will be no local services. Visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family in Wellsboro.

    Sylvia was always extremely sweet and kind. She was impossible not to like. I am so glad that I got to know her over the past four years. She always had something positive to say and spoke often and proudly of her family, especially her grandchildren. While she is sadly missed, I believe Heaven is now shining a little brighter.
