Tracy C. DeJaiffe

September 12, 1964-January 17, 2026

Tracy C. DeJaiffe, 61, of Altoona, passed away Saturday at her residence.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Judith “Kay” (Brown) Chambers and the late George DeJaiffe.

She is survived by her mother, Kay Chambers; stepmother, Judy DeJaiffe; three children: Tara D. Williams, Zachery E. Hainsey, Tyler J. Wholaver and her longtime partner Brian Pierce, all of Altoona; her four grandchildren: Symantha Moses, Caitlynn Pasquini, Dylan Pasquini and Jameson Hainsey; Brian's late son Wesley Pierce's seven children, his daughters Sonja Powell and her six children and Erika Brown and her two children; and her siblings Donna Auker and Mark DeJaiffe both of Altoona.

Tracy attended Altoona Area High School and had been a knowledgeable seamstress for various local manufacturers.

As a child and teenager she enjoyed camping with her family, boating, and caring for animals. During her young adulthood she enjoyed shooting pool competitively and had won multiple awards for The Longbranch and local VFW. For many years she had hobbies related to cosmetology and auto mechanics and was very clever in diagnosing a problem with minimal information given. Tracy was also an avid fan of Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football and was absolutely not a "bandwagon fan."

She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor and her love of movies and music of many genres. She played a consistent, supporting role in her children's lives and also anyone else she loved.

She will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
