Virginia E. Ferramini

June 7, 1931-August 2, 2023

Virginia E. Ferramini, 92, Altoona, passed away at UPMC Altoona Wednesday.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Carino and Frances (Gulino) Ferramini.

Virginia is survived by a niece, Elizabeth Kinley (Michael) of Jefferson, Maryland; two great nieces: Laura Catalani (Tyler) and Lt. Emily Kinley, USN; great-great-nieces and nephew: Eleanor, Harper and James Catalani.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Stein; brother-in-law, Charles Stein and nephew, Msgr. Timothy Stein.

Virginia was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1951 graduate of Mount Aloysius Junior College. She retired as a secretary from the Altoona Public Library and had previously worked at the A&P Regional office.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Virginia was a member of Friends of the Altoona Area Public Library and enjoyed volunteering at Garvey Manor.

Friends will be received from 3-6 pm, Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Friday, Aug. 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 511 20th St., Altoona, Pa. 16602 by Fr. Lubomir Strecok. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
