Virginia (Rabits) Cassarly

April 29, 1937-June 5, 2025

Virginia (Rabits) Cassarly, 88, of State College, formerly of Altoona, passed away at Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late George and Maxine (Gardner) Cassarly.

Virginia is survived by her son, Christopher J. Rabits of Altoona and her daughter, Jennifer M. Rabits of St. College; and two grandsons: Patrick and Phillip.

She was preceded in death by three sons: Craig, Steve and Patrick Rabits; also her former husband, Frank Rabits.

Virginia was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School.

She was previously the bookkeeper for Rabits Auto Center.

Virginia loved her dogs and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football fan.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5519 6th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 with Fr. John Lynam, celebrant.

Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
