Obituary For William F. Kling

William F. Kling December 5, 1934 – April 16, 2022 William F. Kling, 87, Altoona, passed away suddenly on Saturday at UPMC Altoona. Bill was born in Altoona, son of the late James H. and Geraldine R. (Irvin) Kling. He married Deborah Becker on July 3, 1995 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on September 27, 2016. Bill is survived by three daughters: Jamie (Jeffrey) Hershey of Altoona, Michele (Andrew) Konitsky of Claysburg and Stacy Kling of Pittsburgh; two step-sons: Robert Tomeo of Hollidaysburg and Joseph (Robyn) Tomeo of Camp Hill; grandchildren: William J. (Rebecca) Kling, Ashley A. Kling, Brant A. Bohn, Mark G. Bohn, Alyssa B. Hershey, Adam J. Hershey, Hunter McIntyre, Khaleb Mickey, Tiffany Tomeo and Brandon Tomeo; great-grandchildren: Isabel Kling, Teresa Kling, Sofia Kling, Giovanna Kling and Evelynn McIntyre; and a brother, Joseph (Carole) Kling of Altoona. He was preceded in death by two brothers: James Kling and Timothy Kling; and two sisters: Linda Eckenrod and Joan Kling. Bill was a veteran of the US Navy and retired as a truck driver for Air Ground Express. He enjoyed caring for his granddaughter Tiffany, who kept him young. Bill was the one that his family and friends would call to fix anything. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bill’s memory to: American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
