William L. Kuhn

January 9, 1944-August 23, 2026

William L. Kuhn, 82, of Bellefonte, formerly of Altoona, peacefully passed away Sunday at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Irvin and Virginia (Berkstresser) Kuhn.

William married JoAlana “Jody” Beaver on October 3, 1964, she preceded him in death on April 19, 2026.

He is survived by his son, David A. Kuhn (Michelle) of Bellefonte and his daughter, Billie Jo Kuhn (Danette Petersen) of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; six grandchildren: Adam, Aubrey, Garrett, Gavin, Taylor and Cameron; two great-grandchildren: Elora and Elaina; his brother, Glenn Kuhn of Fallentimber and his sister, JoAnn Pfahler of Altoona.

William was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald and Howard Kuhn.

He was a graduate of Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era.

William retired from SKF and had previously worked for Sylvania and Phillips.

He was a member of Second Avenue Global United Methodist Church.

William enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking cruises and was an avid Penn State University Football fan.

Friends will be received from noon-2 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2026 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Blackie.

Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
