William Robert Miller

May 28, 1937 – Oct. 27, 2023

William Robert Miller, 86, born and raised in Altoona, passed away Friday morning surrounded by loved ones.

He was the son of the late William B. and Christine (Nancarrow) Miller. On November 19, 1960 he married Diane H. Thompson.

He is survived by his loving, beautiful wife, Diane; their four children: Dana Packer (Leslie), Susan Foose (Mike), Bill Miller (Suzie), and Scott Miller (Loraine), 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Bill was a graduate of Altoona High School and was a successful business owner.

He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Bill loved spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and hunting in Altoona and in Ocean City, MD. He especially enjoyed sharing his model trains with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 Eighth Avenue Altoona, PA 16602 where a funeral service will follow at noon in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Fr. John Lynum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society PO Box 862 Carnegie, Pa. 15106/online: cancer.org/givehope.
