Wynn S. Gearhart

January 15, 1960-June 27, 2026

Wynn S. Gearhart, 66, of Altoona, passed away Saturday morning at his residence. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Jack Gearhart and Martha (Bender) Leskowitz.

Wynn married Tammy A. Burkholder on September 9, 1978.

Surviving Wynn is his wife, Tammy of 47 years of Altoona; a son, Kyle S. Gearhart (Heidi) also of Altoona; two grandsons: Cody Stich and Colin Gearhart; his two sisters: Debbie White (Gene) of Martinsburg and Annette Polignone (Ron) of Altoona; also surviving is his mother-in-law, Donna Burkholder.

He was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Gearhart.

Wynn was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Wynn was a technician in HVAC services.

He was a member at the Frohsinn Singing Society, Unter Uns, the UVHA-Bellwood and Hiram Lodge 616 Free and Accepted Masons.

Wynn enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing drums, fishing and especially spending time with his son and grandsons.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
